As of this writing, about 1,898 infected Ghanaians have recovered from Covid-19. That’s 30% of all recoveries in the ECOWAS region.
Here’s the breakdown:
- According to the Africa CDC, Ghana leads the entire West Africa in the number of recoveries, with Nigeria a close second.
- Given the fact that Ghana does not have a majority of confirmed cases, our share of recoveries paints an ‘optimistic’ picture of the progress of our fight against Covid-19.
- Across all of Africa, our share of recoveries accounts for 4.7% even though our share of Africa’s population is only 2.5%.
- That’s another bright spot in our fight against covid-19.
